About John Eichman

John Eichman served clients in courtrooms throughout Texas and the United States for 38 years at two major law firms. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants, Fortune 500 corporations and indigent pro bono clients, always with the goal of providing high-quality, creative, and efficient service with an intense focus on protecting his client’s best interests, whether through settlement or trial. During his many years in practice, John has tried cases involving business torts, contract disputes, fiduciary and estate claims, insurance coverage and intellectual property. In 2020, he brought that wealth of experience to his own firm, where he continues to represent business clients, but also represents the economically disadvantaged and public interest groups.

John is honored to be a Master of the Bench and past President of The Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court and a Trustee of the Center for American and International Law. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America in commercial litigation each year since 2016 and is rated “A/V Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. John has written and spoken frequently for lawyers and other professionals in continuing education programs.

John is a fellow in the American Bar Foundation and the Dallas Bar Foundation, and a sustaining life fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation.  He graduated in 1979 from Georgetown University with an A.B. degree, magna cum laude, and in 1982 from the University of Chicago Law School with a J.D. degree.
